As we mentioned last June, Amazon has credited the accounts of customers who purchased select Kindle ebooks as result of an anti-trust lawsuit settlement against Apple. (If you haven't used your credits, they will soon be expiring on June 24; the credits will be applied as a "gift card" to a future purchase made at Amazon.) Customers who purchased an ebook published by Hachette, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Penguin, or Macmillan between April 1, 2010, and May 21, 2012, are eligible. The funds for these credits were provided by Apple, against whom the lawsuit was brought concerning the price of these ebooks. (Amazon was not a party of the lawsuit.) If eligible, your credit amount will be displayed at this link once you sign in to your account. Click here for more information regarding the lawsuit and customer eligibility.
